Theresa has written “Bvuto Lakula” as an acoustic folk song for her first album originally. Now, years later she teamed up with Juno nominated Canadian act „Humans“ 16,000 kms apart to create this engaging afro-electro, post-punk, disco track.

The song name translates from her native Chewa language to “the problem has grown”. The lyrics tell the story of the artist’s personal struggles and those of greater humanity and overcoming this turning to a higher power for guidance. This collaboration bridges continents and cultures, creating a fusion of sounds that’s as diverse as it is infectious.

Thanks to Tristan Orchard and his Canadian label „Unbelievably Spectacular“.  posted July 2024

As imperfect as it is Theresa decided to release the story she wrote 7 years ago ….full video coming out soon. Big thank you to Zel and Lee Senford for your blessed direction. “In the depths of despair, ‘Onani’ emerged from my soul, a symphony of resilience crafted seven years ago. It’s a prayer, a chant echoing the pain of voiceless souls oppressed by narcissistic abusers. Each word, a sacred vibration, seeks justice and divine intervention, forging an intimate trust with YHWH. As an African proverb wisely proclaims: ‘When spider webs unite, they can tie up a lion.’ Let our voices, like threads, weave a tapestry of strength against oppression.”
